1. Complimentary consultation. Discovery stage

Our first step is to understand your vision and your goals. This is essential to building the foundation of our relationship and the framework of your project. During the consultation, we will:

2. Preliminary Budget

Using details from the site walkthrough and consultation, we will compile a complimentary preliminary quote for review. It details the estimated numbers you can expect to see for your entire project before signing on with our team as well as a preliminary schedule for the project.

3. Design

After the preliminary quote approval, you will have a meeting with our interior designer at your house.

We will discuss you life-style and family’s needs to understand your requirements and goals. You will review material samples, inspirational images and explore potential layouts for your new kitchen or bathroom. Our designer will guide you through the process and help you make design and material choices.

We will create detailed drawings and provide material specifications document.

4. Finalized Pricing and Contract

With a completed design and finishing choices in hand project cost details are confirmed and presented to the client for approval. Next step is to sign contract and pay deposit to secure our services.

5. Build Phase

We have already decided on timelines, project goals, start dates, and other such aspects of the project. Now it is time for our construction crew to kick things off. This process is carried out by a team of experienced and qualified trades. The construction crew maintains constant communication with the designer and project manager to ensure everything is on track.

After the final touches are completed, we will have a final walk-through with our client to check everything and provide maintenance guidance.

How long does the typical renovation project take?

A full house renovation typically takes around 6 month. A kitchen renovation takes from 3-4 month with all the planning and design. A bathroom reno would be between 1-2 month, but some bigger projects can take longer than that.

Will renovating my kitchen or bathroom add value to my home?

The answer to this question is a decisive YES. Out of all home improvement projects, kitchen and bathroom renovations and remodelings have one of highest ROIs (Return On Investment). Most experts say that you can recoup between 50% – 80% of your kitchen renovation cost.

Will you protect my stuff during construction?

Totally. We install ram board protection, poly, dust confinement barriers. Regular clean up at the end of the day is a must and strictly controlled by our team.

Are your subtrades verified?

We have worked with our subtrades for years and they are all experienced with great reputation and work attitude.

Are you licensed and insured?

Our company is registered with the WCB and follows established industry standards. We also have a $5 million general liability insurance cover to protect the interests of everyone involved in the renovation project, including the clients.

How far in advance we need to book your services?

Normally, we are booked 2-4 month in advance. You also want to take into account the time needed for the design phase and material preparation for your project, which takes about 2-3 month.

What if I don’t need a designer?

If you are working with a designer already, that’s totally fine. We will need the drawings and specifications to provide you with a quote then we can go from there. Alternatively, if you don’t want/need to hire one, or your project is pretty straight forward – we can still help you out to achieve your goals and build that dream space for you. That’s what we love doing!

How about coordinating with strata?

Absolutely. We can’t start the work until your strata has given us their approval. We will have to provide them with a clearance letter from WCB, our liability insurance, plumbing ticket etc.

We will provide you with the samples of cabinet materials and finishes, flooring, tile, countertop, doors and knobs. We will not be able to bring such materials as: sinks, faucets, lighting fixtures, but we will specify them in the material specification list and link to some local stores (ex. The Ensuite, Splashes) where you would be able to check them out.

What is your warranty?

At Adept Projects we offer a lifetime warranty on our labour and cabinetry. All materials are covered by the manufacturers warranty.
